Carrie Morey founded Callie’s Charleston Biscuits in 2005 with the goal of making the tender, buttery, made-by-hand biscuits of her mother accessible across the country.
Two dozen buttermilk biscuits. Serves 8 to 10 people. Choose from:
• Cheese and Chive
Buttermilk: This biscuit may be “the basic,” but only because you actually could eat these every single day at every meal. Simple yet flavorful with hints of cream cheese, you can’t go wrong with keeping at least a dozen of these biscuits on hand for any occasion—big or small. Please remember that the best way to eat a biscuit is with a generous pat of butter. Buttermilk biscuits shine alone or filled with fried chicken and aioli for any occasion from tailgates to tea parties!
Cheese and Chive: This best selling biscuit combines sharp cheddar cheese and fresh chives to create a biscuit that smells as amazing as it tastes. All you need to do is heat these buttery biscuits and serve at any event—from tailgate to tea party!
Country Ham: These classic Southern Country Ham Biscuits are what started it all! Using a secret family recipe, each cheese and chive biscuit is loaded with finely chopped artisanal Virginia country ham, Dijon mustard and butter for a Southern bite found at every traditional Charleston affair. Please remember country ham is cured in salt and meant to be salty!
Cinnamon: This truly decadent cinnamon biscuit is layered generously with butter, cinnamon and brown sugar that simply melts in your mouth. Enjoy cinnamon biscuits for breakfast, at brunch with an ambrosia or fruit salad or at teatime with coffee or tea.
