Made popular in the 18th and 19th centuries, stirrup cups were often handed to a rider in saddle (and stirrups) before or after the hunt in celebration of the occasion. Without a proper base or a place to set the cup down, the contents had to be quickly consumed. These hunt inspired pewter stirrup cups are topped with a fox, a stag, and a rabbit in honor of their country sporting roots. Manufactured in England with exacting standards.
